Happy 6 Month Birthday!

Can you believe Tigger is 6 months old?!?!?! Papa Tigger and I can't believe it. Our little boy is half way to being a year old!!

We celebrated his birthday with a trip to the doctor and two vaccinations. His key stats are:

• 15 lb, 6.5 oz (10-25% percentile)
• 27 inches long (75% percentile)
• 16 1/4 inches head circumference (5% percentile)

He's obviously long and lean like his daddy! The doctor is not concerned with how small his head is - his head has always been small and is growing along a good trajectory.

Good Eyes continue

Another outing on Friday (it was a busy day!) was a visit to the pediatric opthamologist for a follow up visit. As you may recall, Tigger had his first evaluation a few months ago. Given Papa Tigger's eye problems, we take Tigger for checkups regularly so we can catch any problems. The good news is that all is still well! His eyes look totally normal and we'll follow up in 4 months for another checkup.

The pic below has nothing to do with Tigger's eyes (though I was protecting them with his sunglasses), but it was cute nonetheless. Here's me and Tigger heading to the post office yesterday to mail some pics to the family. He loved the walk!

6 Month Pics!

Mama Tigger and I decided to get some "professional" pics done of Tigger for his 6 month birthday. It was an interesting experience. As happy-go-lucky as he is, getting him to be "cute" within the 30-minute window of our sitting was a challenge. Mama Tigger and I were worn out through the process...

Here is a video of us, about 15 minutes in to the charade. Mama Tigger and I took turns taking lead. Given Mama Tigger's lamentations over not being in enough photos or video (see the note after case #1), I graciously let her be the star of this one:



Next time, I think we will just hire G-Pa T, Uncle Michael or Pseudo-Uncle Ptolemy...

Apes

Tigger likes apes. Or, rather, he likes it when dad talks to him like an ape.

Case #1:



Note: I did TRY to get Mama Tigger on camera more with this one, but she took the camera from me. She is about to strike because she isn't getting enough camera time, still or video. Negotiators are working on the issue and hope to come to a resolution soon.

Tigger gets a High Chair

As you all know, Tigger started solids recently. Papa Tigger and I have been looking for a high chair, and finally settled on the Boon Flair. It was really hard to find a modern, stylish high chair that we liked - this was really the only one we could find!

Papa Tigger put it together and I took some pictures of Tigger's dinner last night. You might notice the lack of straps on the high chair. I was washing them and they were still in the washing machine when it was time for Tigger's dinner. Rest assured that the straps are on now and we do use them.

If you're curious, he was eating rice cereal mixed with sweet potatoes. He's had rice cereal, oatmeal, butternut squash, sweet potatoes and bananas.
