Still plugging along

Yesterday, Papa Tigger and I went in for the 35 week check. The fluid is still good at 11 - it's lower than it has been but still in the 'normal' range. We also discovered that Tilly has turned so she is no longer breach. Yeah!

We'll see how it looks next week...

The rooms are ready!

Papa Tigger and I continue our rampage to be ready for this baby! We learned our lesson with Tigger and have been super diligent about being prepared early.

As we've mentioned in previous posts, Tigger has moved to a toddler bed and now shares the study with us. His old room, the nursery, is now all ready for Tilly. We honestly haven't changed too much (you may recall when we prepared the nursery for Tigger). We've switched from a Winnie the Pooh/Tigger theme to a water lilly theme (Tilly, lilly, water lilly - get it? Thanks for the idea Kelly!). The color palette has stayed the same. Once we decide on a name, that will go up and it will really be done!

The biggest change has been the study. We pared down our office furniture and now share it with Tigger. Here are the before pictures (and some action shots with Tigger helping)...

And after shots, with our Dr. Seuss theme. First, we squeezed the study into the front part of the room; that's a Papa Tigger custom-made desk you see. Papa Tigger calls this part of the room the collegiate gauntlet Tigger has to go through to get to his room.

We painted and put his name up, along with some Dr. Seuss wall stickers (I love eBay!).

It all goes with the Dr. Seuss bedding:

I wanted to highlight the buttons I sewed on the curtains - the colors match the bedding and wall stickers and give a pop of color to the curtains. I must give credit to our decorator for this one (though the rest of the room is all us!).

Here's a quick video of playtime last Saturday morning. It was an exciting day at our house!!

All is well!

Went to the docs this morning. All is well! The fluid was at 14.4 - anything above 5 is good.

We also learned that we may be able to deliver Tilly normally (vs a c-section)! Mamma and Papa TT have lots to talk about...

Fun with Meema

The other day, Meema left town to fly back to Texas after a nice long visit. She came up to help me with Tigger because Papa Tigger was in Texas at SXSW. It was like they switched places - Papa Tigger flew from DC to Austin and Meema flew from Austin to DC!

Tigger had lots of fun with Meema. First we went to the airport to pick her up. Tigger was fascinated by the planes.

While she was here, they had fun reading books and coloring.

She was a big help. Thanks Meema!!

The day she left, I went to pick up Tigger from daycare and had to laugh. The weather is getting warmer and his teachers were being diligent about putting a hat on him. It's a reversible hat - orange on one side and a leaf design on the other. They of course put it on with the leaf design showing (I know, it kind of looks like flowers) and they put it on really far back on his head. He just looked so cute, and kind of goofy, running around the playground that I had to take a picture. Papa Tigger has decided that it's time for a new hat.

We got home and Tigger started one of his favorite activities - opening all the kitchen cabinets. We have a rule - he can open the cabinets and play with the contents, but not take anything out (except the tupperware, because that's safe). Well, he was feeling mischievous because he decided to take something out of the cabinets. It wasn't just anything, it was a box of baking soda. The bottom cabinets are mostly pot/pans and dishes, but we have one cabinet of baking supplies. You know how those Arm & Hammer boxes work - once they're opened, they're opened. And of course I had the good fortune to be getting the mail while Tigger was doing this. So in the 45 seconds I turned my back, he managed to grab the box and carry it all the way through the house to the front door, to see what I was doing. Here is the trail he left....

Good thing we have an Oreck!

I'll finish the post with something about Tilly - there's something about being pregnant that gives you weird dreams. Last night I had a very vivid dream. I had to get to Highland Mall (yes, in Austin where I haven't lived in 6 years) to get to the Great American Cookie Company before they closed. They have these huge cookies that are decorated like cakes; they are so yummy. It was such a clear dream - it was 6:40 and they closed at 7:00. I had to get there to get a 'Happy 4th of July' cookie with red, white and blue icing. Bizarre, huh??

Playtime without Papa Tigger

Papa Tigger is out of town, so I shot a quick video today to get him through his Tigger withdrawal. Nothing too spectacular - just Tigger playing and being cute. Enjoy!

Still looking good

Just returned from the 33 week check and everything is still great. The fluid level is 15 (!!) and Tilly passed her 'non-stress' test. Yeah!!

Playing and Working

Here are a couple of cute videos I shot today. The first one is of Tigger at daycare. He was on the playground when I got there and he did his usual thing - he ran away. Most kids run to their parents when being picked up at the end of the day; ours runs away. I think he wants to be chased....

The next one is of him earning his keep - we're teaching him how to feed the dog!

All is Well!!

We had a growth sono today for Tilly and all is well! She is 4 lbs. 2 oz. The fluid is at 13.7 (above 5 is good). And the stress test was fine.

Until next week...

New Shoes

This week, Caleb's day care lost one of his shoes. I was a little perturbed, but Papa Tigger took it in stride, saying 'these things happen.' It happened on a day when they had substitute teachers; his regular teachers probably wouldn't have lost it.

It really wasn't a big deal since the shoes were getting worn and he was due for new ones in a month or so. Yesterday morning, we headed to Payless (cheap shoes, which is good given how fast he's growing!) to get Tigger some new shoes. It was so cute! Here's his shiny new sneakers:

New shoes!!

He still loves to play peek-a-boo...

Later that day, after nap time, we headed to the park. We've recently realized that Tigger loves being outside (we've been tipped off by the temper tantrums he throws every time we come inside). He was so enthralled by the teenagers playing basketball, that he barely played. He spent most of the time holding a spare basketball and watching them play.

Today, Tigger went in the nursery (his old room) and was climbing on the bouncy chair. He must remember it from his newborn days. We're getting all ready for Tilly - we pulled out the car seat and bouncy, washed the covers and are putting sheets on the crib. My bag is even packed so we are getting prepared!!

Here's Tigger playing on the bouncy seat. He's a little too big for it now...
