Pumpkin Picking at the Farm ** UPDATED WITH MORE PICS **

Last weekend, Papa Tigger, Tigger and I ventured to a VA farm with our friends Chris and Kathleen. Luckily we got in most of our visit before it started raining! We got to see all sorts of farm animals and pick out some great pumpkins. We even stocked up on some farm fresh veggies!

We got to see sheep..

pigs...

and goats!

Then we headed off to the pumpkin patch. You can see from the ominous sky that we only had a little bit of time before the rain hit!

We found the pumpkin patch and let Tigger take a load off.

A quick milk break in the pumpkin patch:
We got quite a haul! OK - some of this is Chris and Kathleen's:)

After getting our pumpkins and a quick snack from the 'Country Kitchen' we headed home. On Sunday, we decided to let Major have some special time by visiting the new dog park. Here are some pictures Papa Tigger snapped of Tigger, enthralled by all the dogs running around.

Tigger had a fun weekend!

Weekend Painting

This past weekend, Saturday morning started off slowly. I got Tigger up and dressed and then had him play with Papa Tigger when he got up. Papa Tigger wasn't quite awake yet...

Once we were all awake, we got started on some errands and home improvement. Papa Tigger and I decided to paint the kitchen. We learned a valuable lesson that day. If you leave a gallon of paint on the kitchen floor, your one-year old WILL crawl over, put his hands in the paint and drop his toy in the paint can (all in about the span of 3 seconds when you turn your back).

I wish I had a picture of Tigger sitting on the floor, with paint dripping from his hands, but we were obviously more focused on cleaning him off than on capturing the moment. I was able to snap a picture of his toy swimming in the paint can.

We were also able to capture Tigger's hand prints on my shirt, from when I picked him up (paint dripping from his hands) and ran to the bathroom sink.

Texas Visit

Last weekend, Papa Tigger, Tigger and I headed to Texas for some family time and my five year b-school reunion. Unfortunately, we forgot our camera so we only have a few pics we grabbed with Papa Tigger's iPhone.

It was surprisingly cold in Texas, but luckily we had a Texas burnt orange sweatshirt for Tigger to wear. Here's Tigger and Papa Tigger in front of the UT tower.

At the Saturday get together, I was able to catch up with some friends. Anna even came all the way from Nicaragua!

During that Saturday reception, Papa Tigger took point on Tigger so I could socialize. I caught this picture during Tigger's milk break:

On Sunday, we ended the b-school reunion with the gospel brunch at Stubb's BBQ. That's right, it was brunch with BBQ and gospel singers. We know how to do things right in Texas. Tigger loved the gospel singers!

Later on Sunday, we spent quality time with the fam (I can't believe we don't have any pictures of that!). We enjoyed some great Tex-Mex at Chuy's....

...where Tigger had his first lime. I think he kind of liked it!

All in all, it was a great weekend. It was fun seeing my friends and the family - Meema, Uncle Michael, Aunt Lorelei, Sweet Pea (who's getting so big) and Sugar Plum (whose hair still stands up). It was over too soon!

Morning fun

Yesterday morning, Caleb entertained himself while Papa Tigger and I got ready. He has recently become fascinated by my shoes. I think it's that they're bright colors and are in these little compartments. He loves to pull the shoes out of their compartments.

Here he is having some fun:

Off to find mommy's cell phone, his favorite toy.....
