1st Birthday Slideshow

Mama Tigger and I hired a photographer to take a few pics of us yesterday, in honor of Tigger's 1st birthday. Check them out!

Birthday Celebration #2

Yesterday, we had birthday celebration #2 for Tigger. We had lots of great friends come over to celebrate Tigger's first birthday!

Tigger's second birthday cake was chocolate with vanilla icing. He seemed to remember the sweet taste of sugar from his last cake and had no problems digging into this one as well. By the way, how cute is the hat?!?!

Tigger even shared some cake with Papa Tigger:

Tigger had lots of fun entertaining everyone and playing with all the guests.

So much fun in fact that when the last guests left and the front door closed, he starting kicking and screaming!

But then he calmed down and played with his balloons and presents.
We kept the balloons out until this morning, which proved valuable in keeping him busy while we made coffee and tried to wake up!

Birthday Celebration #1

Tigger is a lucky kid - not only did he get a big birthday party for his first birthday, he got two! Earlier this month, we had a family celebration at G-Ma and G-Pa T's. We had a birthday celebration for Tigger, complete with cake and balloons.

G-Ma T got him his first balloon ever, and he was enthralled!

He's playing with his balloon in this video. You have to listen carefully - about 20 seconds into the video, G-Pa T says 'balloon' and Tigger does a darn good job repeating the word!

Tigger enjoyed opening all his presents though I'm not sure which he enjoyed more - the packaging or the actual presents.

His first birthday cake was chocolate with chocolate icing. I made it and was very proud of it!

We brought out the cake and Tigger quickly dug in.

He was even willing to share some cake with G-Pa T.

Happy FIRST Birthday!!

Yes folks, that's right, Tigger is one. It seems like just yesterday Papa Tigger and I were headed off to the hospital to meet Tigger for the first time. But no, that was a year ago!

So what, you may ask, did Tigger do on his birthday? Well, first, he woke up at 5:30 am (a very rare occasion). Once we gave up on the fact that the toys (that we threw in the crib to keep him quiet and happy) weren't cutting it, we got up. Tigger started his day by reading his birthday cards from Meema and G-Ma & G-Pa T.

After playing with his cards, Tigger played with the banister. He loves the stairs and banisters!

After a fun day at daycare, Tigger came home and played with doors (another one of his favorites). You probably can't tell in the video, but I learned a valuable lesson today - don't dress the baby in a white shirt and send him to daycare with beets for lunch.

Tigger also enjoyed playing twister...

After dinner, Papa Tigger entertained him in his high chair. This is probably a safety hazard, but hey, he was strapped in.

While playing with Tigger, Papa Tigger got a good shot of Tigger's new teeth - two new ones on the top!

Before bed, Tigger wowed us with how smart he is (ok, he's really just pointing, but we were impressed).

And finally, here are the birthday comparison pics. The picture right after birth:

And the comparison shot with a hat on. Since he's constantly moving, this was the best I could do...

And here is the picture of him in his crib for the first time:

And my best attempt at a comparison shot today:
