A Nice End to a Rough Week

This week has been a little brutal, with Tigger inexplicably waking up early (5:30, 5:45, 6:00) and crying. But tonight after dinner, Tigger charmed us by singing his ABCs. We also got good news from day care - he peed in the potty! He's in a new room and they've started sitting him on the potty a few times during the day, just to get him used to it. Not only did he pee but he recognized it and said 'pee pee.' He may be ready to potty train soon!



A few days ago, he also made us laugh with some dancing. He's gotten very good at navigating our iPhones - scary!

Family Fun

New Toy Fun

Lately we've been getting out new toys for Tilly since she can now hold her head up. We got out the Bumbo, which supports her in a sitting position (since she can't sit up by herself yet). Our cute little baldy (she has no hair!) enjoyed it...

....as did her big brother! He loves to try everything out with her.


We also got out the jumperoo. Tilly is starting to get bored laying on her back in the bouncy seat, so we got this out of the closet and put it together. Tigger helped Papa TT.




We rolled up blankets and put them behind her to support her.

She loves it!

And so does big brother!

After we took Tilly out, Tigger tried to climb in. He's a bit too big but he tried anyway.


To put it in perspective, here he is at 5 months old, when it was his jumperoo. He's grown so much!

She Rolled Over!!

Our big girl rolled over today! Unfortunately Papa TT and I both missed it! I laid her down in her crib for a nap and shortly after that Papa TT checked on her. I had laid her down on her back, as always, but Papa TT found her like this!

Hopefully we'll see the action ourselves soon. We're so proud of our big girl!!

Doc checkups

Earlier this week, Tigger and Tilly went to the doctor for their checkups. Both are doing great and progressing against all milestones. Here are their stats:

Tigger

• Weight: 26 lb, 13 oz (25% percentile)
• Height: 35 1/2 inches (80% percentile)
• Head circumference: 18 5/8 inches (25% percentile)

Tilly

• Weight: 12 lb, 12 oz (25% percentile)
• Height: 24 7/8 inches (75% percentile)
• Head circumference: 16 inches (80% percentile)

They're both long and lean!! I'll finish the post with a picture we snapped yesterday of our little longhorn. He's getting so big!
