Since Tigger likes to swim so much, Papa Tigger and I decided to enroll him in swimming classes this summer. The classes are a combination of fun and safety; the first class was this past Saturday and Tigger did great!
Here he is getting started with Papa Tigger; you'll notice that he grabs a toy duck, which he doesn't let go of the entire time...
On Sunday, Tigger had even more fun at the air show with Papa Tigger. Their father/son excursion also gave me and Tilly some time to catch up on nap time!
Wearing his ear plugs like a good boy...
...and eating some sugary goodness as a snack. He's so intent on eating, he's oblivious to the planes flying by!
All gone!!
Later that day, we made a quick trip to Home Depot to get some mulch. Papa Tigger and I wanted to clean up our yard a little bit. Tigger was such a help - pushing the cart and helping us load the car.
Tigger then helped Papa Tigger spread the mulch. He got very dirty, but luckily it was bath night! I was inside with Tilly and when I saw Tigger, I asked him how he got so dirty. He pointed at Papa Tigger and said 'Dada.' No joke!

Doc Appts
We had a heck of a day at the docs today. Tigger went to the ENT for a check of his ears, and we had the two week check up for Tilly. All is well!
Tigger's ears are clear - no tubes needed!
Tilly is growing like a weed - added an inch in length (to 20.5 inches), and more weight, to 7 lbs. 1/2 oz. Her head is now 13 7/8 inches. Weight and head circumference are 25% percentile; length is 50% percentile.
Mama and Papa TT are hanging in there. Tilly has decided 12 - 5a is her "awake" time. We will break her of that!
Tigger is adjusting well - thankfully sleeping through Tilly's awake time. He even tries to touch her once in a while!

Hanging Out
As we're settling into life as a bigger family, we're learning to enjoy just hanging out with each other. Tilly especially likes hanging out on Papa TT's chest:
Or in his arms:
Or in the bouncy:
At one point, we had a bit of a diaper mishap and ended up with 'plumber pants.' Because of her umbilical cord, we have to fold the diaper down in the front and it results in a less than ideal fit!
Not to be outdone, Tigger likes to hang out too. Here he is reading the Sunday paper with Papa TT. No joke, he did this all by himself - he crawled up there, sat next to Papa TT and grabbed some of the paper. What a great imitator!
He also enjoys jamming on the 'piano':

Tigger and Tilly
Since Tilly's arrival, a lot of people have asked what Tigger thinks of Tilly. At first, he wasn't sure what she was....
Then he decided he wanted nothing to do with her. Exhibit A:
Exhibit B:
But then he started to warm up. G-Ma T taught him to 'Shhh, be quiet' for the baby:
And now he's learned to share story time with her.

Tilly's Arrival and Journey Home
Papa TT has already posted a lot of great pics, but I'm going to back up a little in time and start with Tilly's birth. We've got lots of great pics and videos to post!
Below are the series of events that led us to meeting our little girl:
Monday, 4/26/10
We get in some Papa and Mama TT bonding time with Tilly.
After bonding time, Tilly goes to the nursery for a nap and a few tests.
The next day it's time to go home! We get Tilly's going home outfit (the same one Tigger wore when he came home from the hospital)....
...and discover she does not like having her clothes changed!
After a quick car ride, we arrive home. Pastor Donna arrives at the same time and lends a hand as camerawoman:
And she's home, snug in her crib. She looks just like Tigger did when he came home!
And here's our new family:
Below are the series of events that led us to meeting our little girl:
Monday, 4/26/10
- 9 am - At our weekly doctors appointment, we discover the fluid level is very low (6.6), so the doctor sends us to the hospital
- 11 am - Admitted to the hospital
- 1 pm - Induction begins
- 5 pm - The contractions are not that bad (Papa TT and I spend the afternoon watching TV), so Papa TT gets Tigger from day care and brings him by for a quick visit. Tigger then goes home with G-Ma T.
- 10 pm - Pitocin starts and the contractions get worse
- 2 am - the contractions are really bad so I get an epidural. Relief comes soon and Papa TT and I sleep for a few hours
- 8 am - the doctor declares me ready to push
- 9:36 am - Tilly arrives!

Hi, my name is Samantha,
And I'm a milkaholic! She is already at 6 lbs, 9 oz.!
Unfortunately she has a little eye goop and thrush on her tongue. At the docs, getting some antibiotics...

Pics Galore
G-Ma and G-Pa T left today - thanks for all your help! We have enough food for weeks!
We took some time to go through the pics to date. Tilly has been photographed far more often by this point than Tigger, no doubt. (Tigger was still in the hospital by this point...). So, without further adieu, some of my favorite pics:
Coming in to the new world loud and proud!
And ready for a rest:
But with her eyes wide open:
Even while sleeping:
Mama TT's pic of introduction:
And Papa TT's:
Meeting G-Ma T:
And G-Pa T:
Not to be outdone on the cuteness front, Tigger's happy as can be (if Tilly is not around...)
We did manage to get a few pics of them together - check out Tigger's eyes!He is starting to warm up...
Pastor Donna came over for a visit:
Father-daughter bonding:
Papa TT learning to multi-task:
Doesn't she look like a pink smurf?
And the new and improved family:
More to come...
